- Fire Drill and Evacuation Practice at Mill Hill International School Thailand

At Mill Hill International School Thailand, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils, staff, and wider school community are of the highest priority. As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding and emergency preparedness, the school recently conducted a fire drill and evacuation practice involving all teachers, staff, and pupils.
The drill was carefully planned to ensure that everyone understood the correct procedures to follow in the event of an emergency. During the exercise, pupils were guided to remain calm, listen carefully to instructions, and evacuate the building promptly and safely. Staff members carried out their roles efficiently, supporting pupils and ensuring that all areas were cleared in an orderly manner.
Regular fire drills play an essential role in helping pupils develop awareness, responsibility, and confidence in emergency situations. Through these practices, pupils learn the importance of cooperation, quick decision-making, and looking out for one another—key skills that support both personal safety and community wellbeing.
The evacuation practice also allows the school to review procedures, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that all safety systems and protocols are effective and up to date. Such exercises form an important part of our wider safeguarding framework and reflect our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment.
We are proud of our pupils and staff for their calm and responsible participation during the drill. At Mill Hill International School Thailand, we remain dedicated to promoting a culture of safety, preparedness, and care, ensuring that everyone in our community knows how to respond confidently and responsibly in an emergency.
