- Learning Beyond the Classroom: Year 3–4 Astronomy Field Trip

The Owls and Ospreys (Year 3–4) pupils at Mill Hill International School Thailand recently enjoyed an inspiring educational visit to the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) (NARIT), where learning truly extended beyond the classroom.
During the visit, pupils explored a range of interactive exhibits and participated in expert-led sessions that introduced them to the fascinating world of astronomy. From learning about planets and stars to understanding how scientists study the universe, the experience helped pupils deepen their knowledge of space and scientific discovery in a meaningful and engaging way.
This hands-on field trip encouraged pupils to ask questions, think critically, and develop a sense of curiosity about the universe around them. By connecting classroom learning with real-world experiences, pupils were able to see how science comes to life beyond textbooks.
At Mill Hill International School Thailand, we believe that educational visits play an important role in enriching the curriculum and supporting holistic learning. Experiences such as this astronomy field trip not only strengthen academic understanding but also inspire a lifelong love of learning.
We would like to thank NARIT for welcoming our pupils and providing such an engaging and educational experience. The Owls and Ospreys returned to school full of excitement, new knowledge, and a greater appreciation of the wonders of space.
