Mill Hill International School Thailand held its Year End Promotion Day on Tuesday 8 July 2026 at its Chiang Mai campus. The ceremony marked the close of the 2025 to 2026 academic year, celebrated the promotion of Year 6 pupils into Senior School, and recognised pupils completing Key Stage 1 as they progress into Key Stage 2.

A whole school celebration

Pupils, families, and staff came together on Tuesday 8 July 2026 to mark the end of the academic year at our Chiang Mai campus. The morning was a chance to look back on the milestones reached since September, from first steps in Nursery and Reception through to the achievements of our senior year groups.

As part of the prestigious Mill Hill family of schools, we place as much value on personal and social growth as on academic progress. Year End Promotion Day gives us the opportunity to recognise both.

Year 6 pupils move up to Senior School

The highlight of the morning was the promotion of our Year 6 pupils, who begin the next stage of their education in Senior School when the new academic year opens. Moving from Prep into Senior School is a significant milestone in the British curriculum, and our pupils step into it with the confidence and independence they have built over the past year.

Key Stage 1 pupils progress into Key Stage 2

We also recognised pupils completing Key Stage 1, who now move into Key Stage 2. This transition marks a shift towards greater independence in learning, and our pupils are approaching it with real enthusiasm.

Confidence, curiosity, and resilience sit at the heart of what we hope every pupil takes with them, whether they are moving into Key Stage 2, into Senior School, or simply into the next year group.
